Biography : In France
like in Europe, Jack Djeyim has become step by
step a growing "value" of the World Music.
He performed in many
places, in particular in 1996, participated in Paris
with Jean Peen at the Dance Machine in the Zénith. Well known as one of the
great guitar players of his generation, he recently participated to the album
of Manu Dibango. With his new album, the 1995 year was an important step in
Jack Djeyim's career. "Dance Around the Fire" is certainly the album
of maturity. This is the album of an artist in real communication with his
guitar, given the necessary strength to carry deep lyrics; ballads through
childhood, village party, portrait of a full of hope Africa,
tradition, pride and also humanity. We can find here the values defended by the
artists. Far from the spotlights, lonely and demanding to build a career
without any compromise, he is first a real artist. "Dance Around the
Fire" is also a music gathering, because nearly thirty musicians gathered
to bring this subtle and warm colour to this latest album ….
Today he goes back to the
universe of traditional music with SANZAFRICA TRIO. He grew with several
diverse flows of traditional music, he felt transported by the crystal sound
of sanza, that is why he makes us
discover the beauty of this concept which is a mix of traditional music and
modern sounds…
